How to Reduce Your Tax Preparation Fee

  • Keep organized record throughout the year Bring all documents in good order to reduce the time we spend, even if it is a rush job.
  • Provide complete documentation upfront: Incomplete documentation may cause multiple follow-up requests for missing documentation. This can increase risk of errors and require amendments.
  • Void the last minute: An urgent, last-minute filing or service can increase total costs significantly. We charge urgent fee, often applied as “rush fees” when work must be completed outside normal business hours or by sacrificing other client timelines. 20% of “rush fees” applied when we receive documents less then 10 days before the due date of the tax return.
